The same teams always win. Most pool leagues aren't handicapped. Teams will form with the strongest players all on the same team, and guess who wins year after year? Cash leagues incentivize teams to do this as well. Its so hard to compete with the best in most local leagues.

The weekly team fee is $40*. Since 5 people play per night, it's only $8 if you play! If you dont play, you dont pay! Plus most bars will discount the cost of the pool table, or cover it completely!
The annual APA membership is $30 per year. This unlocks a ton of benefits aside from being able to play. The APA partners with a host of companies to provide all kinds of different benefits to its members.

All of our leagues are "weekly" leagues. So if you decide you want to play on a Monday team, you will play every Monday, assuming there isn't a bye in the schedule.
At the moment we have leagues that play Sunday - Thursday, and we are always looking to expand!
We currently have leagues at many host locations across Monmouth & Ocean County, and if your favorite bar, restaurant or pool hall doesn't currently host pool leagues, we can help get them involved.
We can even help potential host locations get set up with pool tables if they don't already have any!
The Crown Jewel of the Jersey Shore APA is winning a trip to Las Vegas to play in the World Pool Championship! Currently we send three teams per year to Las Vegas, and it is quite the experience!
APA leagues are geared towards the recreational player, so "slop" shots are allowed, but not on the 8-Ball. Its actually pretty rare, and it happens to everyone. Plus with the rising popularity of 9-Ball, even the PRO's play with "slop"!
NO! This league is geared toward beginners and advanced players alike. APA offers a handicap system so that all players have a fair shot of winning against any other player in the league!
ANYONE!! The APA is a handicapped league and is designed for players of all skill levels. A good team will have a mixture of players of various skill levels.
